NRGY EPC Solutions is your full service turn-key partner for solar. We specialize in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (“EPC”) for all our channel partners selling solar to their customers. Our goal is to have all channel partners offering solar products to their customers in as little as 48 hours with on-going support from our sales success coaches. When it comes time to install solar, NRGY will deliver a very high quality experience that you and your customers expect.

Leadership Team


Owner and Founder

Jon Abernathy has been a leader in the roofing contracting industry for more than 20 years as an Owens Corning platinum preferred contractor. He and his wife Sarah Abernathy are the owners of Abernathy Roofing and Construction located in Joplin, Missouri. Jon has a passion to see others succeed by empowering them with tools to grow their market share and is the owner and founder of NRGY EPC Solutions. When Jon is not at the helm of the home office he can be found working alongside various non-profits and faith based ministries that seek to improve the quality of life of those in his community.


Vice President of Operations

With over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Shawn has performed in every level of business from bottom to top of both sales and operations. His understanding of both sides of business allows NRGY to create a strategy that produces positive results for our channel partners. In addition, Shawn has performed in the Energy Sector for the last 15 years achieving a comprehensive list of achievements in the residential, commercial and industrial markets. As the Vice President of Operations, Shawn’s personal goal is to raise the bar in the solar industry to emerge as the “Gold Standard” for consumer, sales and installation excellence.  In his spare time, Shawn loves to play drums in a band with his buddies, or he can be found on the front porch at home enjoying life with his family, chocolate lab “Stella Brown” and an occasional good cigar.


Sales and Business Development Manager

Chris is a US Army veteran who returned to the four states after 14 years of service. Since returning he has spent the last 20 years as a Sales and Business Development Manager with a demonstrated history of working with channel partners to focus on Revenue & Profit Maximization. Chris has a proven track record as a strong Sales Professional and Operations Manager with a background in sales training and 30 years of experience in Organizational Leadership and Team Building. With an emphasis on communication and customer service to ensure success and long-term business relationships, Chris has a tremendous passion to see people succeed. In his spare time, he loves creating memories with his wife and daughter playing local golf courses and coaching competitive fastpitch softball.
